MEET OUR PUBLISHER:
Cindy Fletcher
Owner/Publisher/Editor of Macaroni Kid Vancouver Island
Cindy was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley, but 10 years ago her and her husband decided to pack up their four young children and head off to Arizona. It was so strange to be not only in a new country, but in a city where she knew no one. Wanting to get out of the house with the kids, she started looking for things to do and resources for parents, when she stumbled upon Macaroni Kid.
Cindy immediately fell in love with this free resource for parents, and shortly later became an assistant to her local publisher. When a neighboring territory became available, she jumped at the opportunity, and seven years ago began publishing Macaroni Kid Chandler. She loved the families and business owners she met so much that one year ago she also became the publisher for the Tempe territory too.
As we all know, circumstances change, and with her parents and in-laws still on Vancouver Island, she and her husband decided it was time to move back to the Island to be closer to them. While she was sad to give up all the connections she made in Arizona, she is so excited to now be able to offer this amazing resource to the community she grew up in.
