Beating the Summer Heat With Kids Made Easy With Free Spray Parks on Vancouver Island

By Cindy Fletcher, Publisher Macaroni Kid Vancouver Island May 11, 2023

Spray parks can be found in many different locations on Vancouver Island, such as public parks, community centers, and other outdoor recreational areas. Many are designed with colorful and playful features, such as animal-shaped fountains, water cannons, and interactive water play structures.

One of the benefits of spray parks is that they require less water than traditional swimming pools, making them more environmentally friendly and cost-effective to operate. They are also typically safer than swimming pools, as they do not have deep water and are designed to eliminate the risk of drowning.

Overall, spray parks are a great way to enjoy the outdoors and beat the heat during the summer months. They provide a fun and interactive play environment for people of all ages, and they are a great way to promote physical activity and social interaction in the community. All of the  public parks and community centers on Vancouver Island offer free access to their spray parks,  as a way to promote community engagement and provide a fun, safe space for families to enjoy.
